Rx. Glehniae Bei Sha Shen 15g Nourishes Lung Yin and clears Lung Heat.
Rx. Ophiopogonis Mai Men Dong 15g Moistens the Lungs, nourishes Yin and stops coughing.
With Bei Sha Shen, for a dry cough with little Phlegm and a parched throat due to Lung Dryness or Heat injuring the Lung Yin.
With Sheng Di Huang, for hematemesis or epistaxis due to Yin Deficiency with Excess Heat.
Rx. Pseudostellariae Tai Zi Shen 12g Strengthens the Spleen, tonifies Qi, tonifies the Lungs, generates Body Fluids and treats chronic febrile disorders.
Rx. Astragali Huang Qi 12g Tonifies Qi and Blood, promotes the discharge of pus, generates flesh, expels toxins and relieves numbness and pain.
Sm. Benincasae Dong Gua Zi 20g Clears Heat, expels Phlegm, expels pus and moistens the Lungs.
Rx. Platycodi Jie Geng 12g Opens the Lungs, spreads Lung Qi, expels Phlegm, benefits the throat and raises Lung Qi, directing the effects of other herbs to the upper body.
With Zhi Gan Cao, for Lung abscess with expectoration of pus and pain in the chest and flanks.
Rz. Bletillae Bai Ji 12g Astringes the leakage of Blood, stops bleeding, nourishes the Lungs and resolves Phlegm.
Rx. Rehmanniae Sheng Di Huang 15g Clears Heat, cools the Blood, nourishes Yin-and generates fluids.
With Mai Men Dong and Bei Sha Shen, for a dry mouth, thirst, dry lips and a red tongue due to Stomach Yin Deficiency.
Flos Lonicerae Jin Yin Hua 15g Clears Heat and resolves Fire toxicity.
Rx. Glycyrrhizae Preparata Zhi Gan Cao 6g Tonifies the Spleen, augments Qi, moistens the Lungs, resolves Phlegm, stops coughing, moderates and harmonizes the harsh properties of other herbs and guides the herbs to all twelve channels.
With Jie Geng, for pain and swelling of the throat.
